Privacy · books78

This policy covers the books78.com website: the waitlist and the contact form. The books78 app has its own terms and privacy policy, which you’ll see before you create an account.

What we collect

Waitlist. Your email address, which form you used and, if you answer them, the optional questions (whether you run a business or keep books for others, the software you use today, how many companies). We also record when you joined, confirmed and were invited, and whether our emails reached you.
Contact form. Your name, email address and message.
Abuse limits. To stop automated sign-ups we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to 24 hours. We never store the address itself.
Your theme. If you switch between light and dark, your browser remembers the choice on your device. It is never sent to us.

This site uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use it

To confirm your email address and, when it’s your turn, send your invitation to the books78 beta.
To decide who to invite first, using your optional answers.
To read and reply to your message.

We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Who handles it for us

Vercel hosts this website.
Supabase stores the waitlist and messages in a database in the United States.
Resend sends our emails.

Each of them processes this information only to provide its service to us.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries: until you remove yourself or we close the waitlist.
Contact messages: as long as we need to answer you, and no longer than two years.
IP address hashes: 24 hours.

Your choices

Every email we send has a link to remove your address, and removing it deletes your waitlist entry entirely. You can also email hello@books78.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date above. If a change affects how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll email you first.
